Listen, the truth is that nothing is as calming as contact with nature. When we come home after a long day, we just want to release all the tension. And here wooden furniture plays the first violin. But not the perfectly smooth, high-gloss lacquered ones. It is real, solid wood with visible knots and rings. When you touch such a countertop, you feel that it is simply alive. Being surrounded by such furniture is incredibly calming and helps you achieve the desired harmony. Honestly, it's our private home detox from the ubiquitous plastic and concrete.
An idyllic living room, i.e. furniture with soul
Okay, but how to go about arranging a living room in this style? A great idea is to combine a rural atmosphere with timeless Scandinavian design. Furniture in this spirit gives us this wonderful feeling of idyll. Imagine: sinking into a deep wicker armchair with a cup of steaming, fragrant coffee... Sounds like a plan for a perfect afternoon, right?
Interestingly, modern country style furniture is incredibly practical. Just like in the times of our great-grandmothers! Take the drawers for example - they are deep, solid and no one saved on materials. If you throw a pile of socks there, they will definitely stay in place and not fall behind the cupboard. Such a shelf with wooden shelves and metal reinforcements will work literally anywhere - in the living room, bedroom, hall, and even on the terrace as a flower bed.
And since we're talking about natural materials... We need to talk about rattan. A stylish rattan armchair is an absolute must-have in a modern country style. It is light, has a low backrest and a deep seat, so your spine will simply love it. Rattan also looks great on the ceiling! Lamps with rattan lampshades provide beautiful, diffused light that paints amazing patterns on the walls in the evening. And on the terrace? How to care for a jute rug so that it lasts for years?
Jute is a really nice material. The most important thing is to vacuum it regularly. If something spills, act quickly - blot the stain with a paper towel. Avoid machine washing and heavy soaking, as jute does not like excess water. Once in a while, just wipe it with a slightly damp cloth.
