As we announced at the beginning, today we would like to present a few selected elements of the arrangement developed by Dziurdzia Projekt, an interior and garden design studio cooperating with bihome.pl. But before we talk about this particular project, let's first deal with what this one is metropolitan modern style? Anyone who lives in a big city will probably approach it in a different way. However, there are common denominators that are worth taking out of brackets. So How to create an interior in a metropolitan style?
Contemporary interior designs require space
When arranging the interior with this in mind modern metropolitan style in interior design, first of all, we need to take care of the space. If there isn't enough of it, and it often is, it needs to be created early enough. How? There are several ways to enlarge it or use optical treatments to achieve the intended effect. The basic thing when it comes to contemporary interior designs is combining functions - e.g. combining the kitchen with the dining room, the dining room with the living room or the living room with the hall. Thanks to such measures, apartments become spacious, which is what apartments in a modern urban style are all about. Of course, as always, the first impression in the hall or immediately after leaving it is extremely important, so it is especially worth taking care of the view immediately after entering the apartment.Subdued colors and natural character are the features of modern design
Modern metropolitan interiors are dominated by neutral colors. We should therefore expect all shades of gray, white and beige. Gray shades are especially characteristic, and when choosing this approach, there is no need to fear that the apartment will become colorless or even depressing. On the contrary, thanks to well-chosen colors, the apartment will gain elegance and special charm. Then, just add "breakers" to the arrangement you have started and don't be afraid to play with colors, even contrasting them. This approach will give the rooms individualism and, with it, a unique charm.
Modern metropolitan style it is individualism, it emphasizes the owner's tastes, but also courage in the selection of materials, after all, it is also a mixture. That's why they will fit in very well big city style natural materials: wood, glass, metal, natural stone, brick or even concrete, linen, straw or wicker hanging lamps. The use of various materials and textures for this purpose will give the apartment an individual character and reflect the owner's taste. Nothing shows the character of the apartment better than all the accessories, pillows, bedspreads, vases, even what is in the vase. Arrangement in a metropolitan style, is also a mixture of minimalism with industrial elements. In this particular case, the designer took care of the "wow" effect at the entrance, and at the same time managed to build partitions that separate the individual functions of the apartment. Here is an example of a combination of a hall with a kitchen, dining room and living room. Everything together, and yet a bit separate. Of course, such an open approach also has its disadvantages, because how can you hide when autumn malaise comes? We will come back to this. Natural materials and unique colors
In recent years, furniture in natural or neutral shades (including white, black, gray and beige) has become very popular in our store. This is because such furniture is eagerly placed in urban arrangements, and there are more and more of them in Polish cities. In the arrangement above we have a mixture of naturalness and neutrality, but also strong colors. Dark orange armchair it certainly enlivens a monochromatic interior. Blue couch it contrasts perfectly with white walls and light green linen curtains. Their strong colors determine their centrality in this particular composition, focus attention and determine the character of the interior. It is extremely important that there are not too many such central points, because this may result in chaos, and in this case, more does not always mean better. Moving towards the kitchen, we see that the concept is coherent, mostly natural materials, neutral colors with one clear color accent in a fashionable color. As we can see, there is also a contrasting element - a black absorber, which is a great break in the light pastel kitchen. However, it is worth maintaining moderation in these breaks.
Simple forms in a contemporary style
Thirdly, it is worth spending time to choose the right ones modern furniture, because they are always the central point of the arrangement. Their choice therefore determines the final effect. In the discussed project, the studio focused on a mixture of stylish solutions, furniture with a traditional shape, carefully made, even inviting to check their comfort.

And now a place of isolation, because in such an open apartment there must be one somewhere. And this is where the intensity and infatuation with orange really came out. Someone who doesn't like the color orange probably wouldn't feel right here.
Such a strong color on the wall encourages you to break it with black.
