Hello! Have you ever wondered what geometry actually looks like in interiors? Do you associate it with boring math lessons at school? Well, it's high time to break the spell on this topic, because geometric shapes can do real wonders in the apartment. And what's best - you don't have to plan a major renovation right away.
The truth is that we can approach the topic in two ways. We either go all out and paint the walls with expressive patterns or put wallpaper, or we smuggle these shapes in cleverly, using furniture and accessories. You will definitely like the second option if you value flexibility.
However, before you start buying triangle pillows and round tables, look at your apartment as a whole. Geometry loves space and order. I feel best in minimalist, Scandinavian or recently extremely fashionable Japanese style. Why? Because these styles don't like clutter. When there are a lot of trinkets and decorations in the room, geometric patterns can simply strain the eyes. After all, we want harmony and relaxation, not visual chaos.

A bedroom full of soft lines and warm light
Okay, let's get down to specifics. How to introduce these shapes into the bedroom to make it cozy and not stark and cold? Forget about sharp, unfriendly edges. Geometry in the bedroom is primarily textiles - bedspreads, carpets - but also, and perhaps above all... lighting. And it really does the job!
Imagine this atmosphere: on the floor there is a large lantern (about 45 centimeters high) made of bamboo rods. Rays of light gently filter through the rungs, painting amazing patterns on the walls. To complement this mood, we can hang a round wall lamp on the wall - for example, a bamboo model from the Good&Mojo brand. The circle is also geometry, but in its most gentle, soothing version. When you turn on such lamps in the evening, all your tiredness after a hard day will simply disappear, and the pleasant, muffled glow will quickly put you into a state of blissful sleep.

The first impression, i.e. order in the hall
The hall is usually a small and quite difficult place to arrange. And yet it is the first thing we see after crossing the threshold of the house. What do we need there? Wardrobes for jackets, mirrors and a countertop where you can put your keys or phone right after entering. And this is where simple, geometric forms come in handy.
A great example of furniture perfect for a hall is the Acorn console from Hübsch. It is visually incredibly light, has two shelves and a top. The lower shelf, made of symmetrically arranged rungs, is perfect as a place for the shoes we use every day. Such a piece of furniture does not overwhelm a small corridor, and its simple, geometric line immediately gives a sense of order and elegance.

Geometry in the bathroom? Choose an expressive mirror
What does it look like in your bathroom? Geometric tiles on the walls or floor usually dominate there. But if you don't plan on hammering the tiles, you can introduce a strong, geometric accent in a much simpler way. Just hang the original mirror.
The square Poke mirror with a distinct, dark gray frame can completely change the character of the bathroom. What is important for everyday use - its frame is powder coated. Thanks to this, moisture, which is abundant in the bathroom, is not afraid of it at all. The paint will not chip or swell, and rust will not have any access to the metal. So we not only have great design, but also peace of mind for years.

What to do with a high ceiling? Lamps that steal the show
And since we're talking about interesting forms... Have you noticed how popular modern barn houses or apartments in old tenement houses are now? They have one thing in common - incredibly high, sometimes sloping ceilings. It's a beautiful space, but it can be difficult to tame, especially when it comes to lighting.
Lamps with unusual, even sculptural shapes, suspended on very long cables, work brilliantly in such interiors. Today's design goes a step further than the classic chandeliers of the past. Modern, geometric forms can literally hypnotize you with their appearance. Such a lamp, hanging low above the table in the dining room or in a high hall, becomes the main point of the program and creates an atmosphere that simply cannot be ignored.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions
Won't geometric patterns overwhelm a small room?
They can do this if we overdo it. Moderation is the key! Instead of wallpapering all the walls in triangles, choose one strong accent - for example, a geometric carpet, an interesting mirror or an original lamp.
What colors are best to combine geometric furniture and accessories with?
Geometry looks best on a calm, subdued background. It goes perfectly with white, gray, beige and natural shades of wood. Thanks to this, expressive shapes are nicely exposed, but they do not scream in the interior.

Does the geometric style fit classic interiors?
It may fit, but you have to be very careful. Classic interiors are rich in decorations and colors, and geometry likes simplicity. If you want to try it, start with small things, e.g. a simple, round coffee table or pillows with a delicate pattern.
