White in interiors – how to arrange your apartment so that it is not boring?
Listen, recently I see more and more often that white interiors are making a great comeback. And I'm not surprised at all! White is like a blank canvas - extremely universal, suits any style and gives you so many possibilities that it's hard to imagine. Regardless of whether you are decorating a small studio apartment or a spacious house, white always brings this wonderful peace, freshness and the impression that you can simply breathe better in the apartment. Have you ever wondered why we are so drawn to it? The truth is that by choosing white, we often subconsciously open ourselves to changes and a break from our daily routine.
Light that creates atmosphere
Okay, let's get down to specifics. White on walls and furniture is a brilliant way to brighten up every corner. This makes the room more pleasant and the brain works better. That's why painting the living room white is always a hit. But what about furniture and accessories? Those in natural wood colors look nice - they warm up the interior, so it doesn't turn into a sterile hospital.
What about lighting? This is where the magic happens. It is worth replacing old, heavy chandeliers with something lighter. Look for lamps with white shades, or ones made of rattan or bamboo - they scatter the light beautifully. Remember that in a white interior it is nice to hang the lamps a little lower, not necessarily right next to the ceiling. If you have a large living room, try to hang several lamps in a cluster, preferably in an unusual place, e.g. above the reading corner or next to the sofa. The effect is really modern and very cozy!
How to break the white supremacy?
Sure, the total "total look" in white looks beautiful in photos, but in everyday life it's worth adding some character there. How to do it without overdoing it? Simply gray. Even a photo frame in a shade of bleached black does the job. Or furniture with a surprise - imagine a white wardrobe with graphite shelves inside. It looks great, especially if the door is even slightly glazed.
I highly recommend combining white with wood and braids. A lamp with a rattan lampshade or a rattan chaise longue with soft cushions are my favorites. They add lightness to the interior and are super comfortable - perfect for an after-dinner nap. If you prefer something more classic, choose natural wood in the form of tables or shelves. Such small accents make a white apartment cease to be just "white" and become your home.

Honestly, it's a myth! Dust is often less visible on white surfaces than on dark furniture, where any dust is immediately visible. It all depends on the materials you choose.

It all depends on the accessories. Just add some wood, a soft blanket, a carpet with an interesting weave or warm light from bulbs, and the interior will immediately become cozy.
